Bastille Day
To mark the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille, the French Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Poland (CCIFP) held a Rendezvous with France party in Warsaw’s Saska Kępa neighborhood on July 14, a French national holiday.

The event drew crowds of Varsovians, with attractions and surprises ranging from French cuisine to French music, games and sports. The festivities were also attended by businessmen from French companies investing in Poland.

The idea behind the Rendezvous with France was to showcase the cultural and economic potential of France. The organizers also wanted to give Polish people an idea of how French independence day is celebrated in the streets of French cities and towns.

Visitors could see the latest models of French cars and take a ride in an electric vehicle. Telecommunications company Orange put up a special multimedia pavilion with cutting-edge technology. Stands with French food, wines, cheeses and baked goods were immensely popular with visitors who were able to taste the delicacies throughout the day.
