BZ WBK aims to outperform market in credit volume growth: CEO
BZ WBK bank aims to outperform the market in credit volume growth in coming quarters, but has no ambition to outperform it in terms of mortgage sales, CEO Mateusz Morawiecki has said.

"We want to grow faster than the market," Morawiecki said. When GDP accelerates to 3% growth, credits will grow from 4.5 to 6% and BZ WBK wants "to grow a few percentage points above this, especially in some segments."

Growth plans include the very profitable small and medium enterprise segment, where the bank wants to outperform the market. In consumer and cash loans, the bank is growing fast and compensating with volume what it loses because of the interest rate cap.

In mortgages, the bank sees sales of PLN 180 mln, but has no ambition to outperform the market in this segment, Morawiecki said.
