Di Meola Tribute to The Beatles
World-famous jazz guitarist Al Di Meola will pay tribute to The Beatles in a Nov. 30 concert at Warsaw’s Kongresowa Hall. Almost five decades after Beatlemania first hit American shores, Di Meola is paying his private tribute to the Fab Four, who, he says, were the band that inspired him to pick up a guitar for the first time.

After releasing All Your Life, an album recorded this year at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London, Di Meola is touring the world with the Al Di Meola Plays Beatles and More project. The album and concerts feature 14 Beatles songs which Di Meola has given special arrangements for one, two and three guitars, taking the familiar tunes to a new, surprising level. Apart from the guitars, the concerts feature a string quartet.

Regarded as a guitar genius for almost 40 years, Di Meola has recorded over 20 albums and worked with internationally famous musicians. His collaborations include the guitar trio he formed with Paco de Lucia and John McLaughlin. Di Meola is known for his expressive, lyrical performances and his technical skills in playing both electric and acoustic guitar. In Warsaw, Di Meola will play with a full concert lineup, including the Sturcz String Quartet, Fausto Beccalossi (accordion), Peo Alfonsi and Kevin Seddiki (second guitar), and Peter Kaszas (drums).

Tickets are available at the Kongresowa Hall, Eventim ticket offices,,,, and Empik, Media Markt and Saturn stores.
