Warsaw to host Korczak Festival
Children’s and young adults’ theatres from 45 countries are scheduled to perform on seven stages during this year’s Korczak International Festival of Theaters for Children and Young People, to be held in Warsaw May 23 – 31.

The event, named after a Polish-Jewish author, pediatrician and educator, is the biggest Polish review of theatrical forms for young audiences. It has been moved from October to May to accompany the 18th ASSITEJ World Congress.

ASSITEJ, the International Association for Children and Young People is an international alliance of some 80 national centers organizing children’s theater educators. Its international conferences are held every third year.

A seminar on a world-renown theater director Jerzy Grotowski and a
symposium titled “Theater as the Space for Emancipation and Social Change Picture” are planned as part of the 2014 ASSITEJ Congress.
