PGNiG interested in more gas production assets on North Sea
Natural gas giant PGNiG is mulling acquisitions of projects at various stages of development and focuses on potential purchases of production assets, according to the company's press officer Malgorzata Olczyk.

The group is monitoring above all the M&A market in the area of North Sea and Norwegian continental shelf. Such an acquisition could help increase extraction volumes and positively influence the results of the group, which is currently increasingly affected by the gas market liberalization, Olczyk said.

PGNiG expects its natural gas production in Poland to decline by some 100 mcm year on year in 2014, while oil extraction from the domestic deposits should stay stable versus 2013, she added.
