Chopin Music Spot at Warsaw Airport
Warsaw’s Chopin Airport is promoting piano music through a project called the Chopin Music Spot.

Launched in October in the departure hall of the airport’s new terminal, the Chopin Music Spot will over the coming 12 months serve as the venue for classical music and jazz concerts played by renowned musicians, music school students and up-and-coming pianists.

The centerpiece of the Chopin Music Spot is a Boston concert grand piano from the legendary Steinway & Sons manufacturer. The airport, named after Frederic Chopin, Poland’s most famous composer, also has a second piano near the passport control desk. Any traveler who feels like connecting with his or her inner pianist has an opportunity to play this top-of-the-range concert piano. The instrument is a genuine Boston Performance Edition worth several hundred thousand zlotys.
