Growth in foreign holdings of Polish T-bonds accelerates in May
Foreign investors picked up the pace of their accumulation of Polish Treasury bonds in May, after having fractionally increased their share in the PLN-denominated papers in April, the public debt department head at the Finance Ministry, Piotr Marczak, said Friday.

"In April, the T-bond portfolio held by foreign investors grew by PLN 700,000; in May, the increase of T-bonds in this portfolio accelerated," Marczak said.

Foreign investors increased their holdings of Polish Treasury bonds to PLN 187.6 billion at end-April from PLN 186.9 billion one month prior, data from the Finance Ministry showed. That sum was 40.2% of outstanding PLN-denominated Treasuries, up a fractional 0.02 pps month on month.
