Poczta Polska plans to launch first parcel machines in Q1 2015
State-owned postal services provider Poczta Polska plans to launch its first parcel machines in Q1 2015, which will be an element of the firm's targeted 10,000 delivery points, Poczta Polska spokesperson Zbigniew Baranowski said on Friday.

"Launching self-service parcel machines fits Poczta Polska's strategy, which includes developing services for e-commerce," Baranowski said. "We want the first machines to appear in Q1 2015. Their number will depend on who we will eventually direct the services at."

The firm is also mulling the introduction of other possibilities of parcel delivery, such as vie shops, or filling stations, the official said.

Poczta Polska already has twenty-nine 24/7 self-service zones which allow to send and receive parcels and plans to increase this number to 70 by end-2014, Baranowski said.
