Icoidi at Collegium Nobilium Theater
Students from Warsaw’s Theater Academy are staging their graduation play Icoidi, directed by Maja Kleczewska. The play is based on films by Danish director Lars von Trier.

It is a story of a group of young people who cut themselves off from the world creating a small commune in the center of a city. They are fed up with bourgeois mentality and try to escape from a lifestyle imposed by social norms by pretending to be mentally disabled.

The play is an uncompromising critique of contemporary conformism.

The script borrows from von Trier films such as Dancer in the Dark, Breaking the Waves, The Element of Crime, The Idiots, and Melancholia.

Cast: Ewelina Bator, Jakub Hojda, Dominika Kachlik, Erika Karkuszewska, Piotr Kruszewski, Bartosz Mikulak, Aleksandar Milićević, Milena Olchowska, Hubert Paszkiewicz and Marta Wągrocka.
