Corporate sentiment shows slight improvement in June
Corporate sentiment improved gently in June, although readings for different sectors proved mixed, with better moods in construction, stable views in manufacturing and services, and deterioration in trade, a sentiment report from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) showed.

Composite sentiment index in manufacturing remained roughly unchanged compared to May with the sentiment indicator flat at 7 points (19% of sector enterprises signal an improvement and 12% a deterioration of sentiment).

In the construction sector, the sentiment indicator edged up again by 1 pt and now stands at negative 5 pts.

Sentiment deteriorated slightly in retail and wholesale trade with sentiment indicators down by 1 pt to 10 points and 1 point respectively.

Sentiment in the services sector remains positive, with overall indicators in hospitality & gastronomy and information & telecom down by 1 pt (to 8 and 13 pts respectively), in transport & logistics flat at 1 pt and in financial & insurance services up by 1 pt to 25 pts.
