Housing rental fund to invest in over 1,000 apartments in 2015

Poland's state bank BGK will invest in over one thousand apartments in the framework of its housing rental fund in 2015, and will increase the number to 2,000 - 5,000 annually in the following years, BGK's capital investment department head Piotr Kuszewski said.

"Letters of intent are signed and we are running due diligence of a few projects," he told PAP Polish news agency.

The bank now expects the fund to generate an annual return above the initially planned 4%, the official also said.

The housing rental fund is expected to invest PLN 5 billion in housing projects it will then rent out, and plans to spend several hundred million zloty already in 2014, BGK officials said earlier.
