Sikorski’s chances for EU diplomacy chief post seen high
Radoslaw Sikorski
Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski is a strong candidate in the race for the position of the EU diplomacy chief, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes citing EU politicians.

Sikorski may, paradoxically, benefit on the EU political arena from the recent release of taped conversations where he speaks skeptically to Polish-US cooperation, the paper writes.

Should Sikorski fail to secure the post, Poland may attempt to win a seat in the European Commission with Sikorski, PM's advisor Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, former Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski or EU's incumbent budget commissioner Janusz Lewnadowski named as potential candidates.
