PGNiG to grill 30 exploration wells this year
Natural gas company PGNiG plans to drill 30 exploration wells in conventional and unconventional deposits this year, PGNiG's vice president Zbigniew Skrzypkiewicz told Parkiet daily.

Of the total, PGNiG will run nine drillings in shale rocks, the official said adding that PGNiG is concentrating on exploration in the northern Pomorze region, which appears to be most prospective.

PGNiG expects to specify what gas resources it has in its concessions and where industrial extraction will be possible in H1 2016, having carried out five horizontal drillings with fracking, Skrzypkiewicz said.

PGNiG will spend the total of PLN 1.6 billion on E&E in Poland of which some PLN 300 million will be spent on shale gas exploration, Skrzypkiewicz said.
