PSL leader would see main opposition in coalition

Janusz Piechocinski
A "grand coalition of PO-PiS-PSL" [ruling Civic Platform (PO), main opposition Law and Justice (PiS), junior coalition Polish People’s Party (PSL)] would be an "ideal" scenario, deputy PM and PSL leader Janusz Piechocinski told the daily Rzeczpospolita.

The conflict between PO and PiS was detrimental to the Polish politics and should be ended for the good of the country. A potential grand coalition is also important from the point of view of foreign policy amid "exceptional" and uncertain international situation, in Piechocinski's opinion.

Commenting on recent developments at ruling PO, Piechocinski says the party is not yet defeated, but suffered a strong blow. PM Ewa Kopcz needs to shake the party and push it for victory, he said.
