PiS opposition 7 pps ahead of ruling PO in July poll - IBRIS
   
Main opposition, conservative party Law and Justice (PiS), allied with smaller rightist groupings, enjoyed a 5 pps gain in voter support in July to 33% and now has a 7 pps advantage over the ruling party Civic Platform (PO), whose backing remained flat at 26%, the newest poll by researcher IBRIS shows.

The upstart grouping of rock musician Pawel Kukiz, the dark horse of the recent presidential election, suffered a 7 pps decline in support to 14%, the survey further showed.

Nowoczesna.pl, a new liberal grouping of economist Ryszard Petru, would gather 6% support, up by 1 ppt from the previous poll.

Junior coalition partner, agrarian Polish People’s Party (PSL), slipped by 1 ppt to 4%, below the level required for parliamentary representation. Support for left-wing opposition party Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) sank to 2% from 4% in June.
