Cyfrowy Polsat enjoys good profits from Euro 2016 broadcast rights

Commercial broadcaster Cyfrowy Polsat apparently managed to generate profit on the rights to broadcast Euro 2016 football tournament, Starcom Polska trade director Anna Bratkowska said.

According to Starcom's estimates, Polsat's ad revenues from Euro 2016 hit PLN 34.1 million. Considering the fact that Polsat sold public broadcaster the rights to 11 matches for nearly PLN 40 million and earned a similar amount on paid access at closed channels, the company generated between ten and twenty million profit, estimates show.

Cyfrowy Polsat is satisfied with the viewership results of 24 football matches broadcast during Euro 2016, the company's press person Tomasz Matwiejczuk said.
