The European Union Film Festival will be held for the seventh time at Warsaw's Silver Screen cinema (17 Pu³awska St.), Nov. 15-28. It has been organized by embassies and institutes of culture of the EU member states as well as the Delegation of the European Commission in Poland in collaboration with Silver Screen.

This year, the Embassy of Denmark, current holder of the EU presidency, will be the host of the festival. The selection of the latest and the most interesting film productions shot in the 15 member states will be presented.

This year there will be no movie from Luxembourg. The remaining 14 films include Angela (Italy), O Delfim (Portugal), Ikarus (Austria), Juana La Loca (Spain), Jump Tomorrow (Great Britain), Leijat Helsingin Yllä (Finland), Marie-Jo Et Ses Deux Amours (France), Blinkende Lygter (Denmark), Thomas Est Amoreux (Belgium), The Most Fertile Man in Ireland (Ireland), En Sang För Martin (Sweden), Risotto (Greece), Die Innere Sicherheit (Germany) and Down (Holland).

Most of the films were shown and awarded at various European festivals. Beata Tyszkiewicz agreed to hold honorary patronage of the Seventh European Union Film Festival.

Piotr Trzaskalski's film Edi was chosen for the gala opening, Nov. 13.
