Become my friend in Wroc³aw Puppet Theater
The new Wroc³aw Puppet Theater’s puppet play called ”Become my friend” is created in a classic style. Dolls are animated by actor-puppeteers. The spectacle is a work of two professors from PWST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Wroclaw: Anna Kramarczyk and Krzysztof Grebski. Tomasz Man is the author of the script.
”Be my friend” is a multi-layered story about the adventures of Pinia, the rebellious girl penguin, and the spoiled turtle Francis. She escapes from the Zoo and tries to reach Antarctica because she misses her family. He is abandoned by his lady owner, whose holidays would be disturbed if she took him with her. Nevertheless, he decides to find her and just like Pinia he travels to the sea. During the journey protagonists’s paths unexpectedly cross. Pinia and Francis will learn the value of true friendship.
Fifteen puppets are involved in the play. Varied voices of animal characters, catchy music and cheerful songs make it a perfect spectacle for the youngest. An important aspect of education is the ecological message for the people in the touching manifesto of animals. Animal characters make it clear to young viewers that even children can and should take care of nature every day.
The show premieres on 2 December 2017. The performance is dedicated to children over 3 years old. Kids will be able to see puppets up-close, touch and self-animate them at the end of the show.
