Polish Power Exchange storms foreign markets

Polish Power Exchange TGE may tap into foreign markets in order to compete for contracts with other European exchanges under the so-called NEMO (Nominated Electricity Market Operators) model provided that it would prove beneficial for its business, acting CEO Piotr Zawistowski says as quoted by the daily Puls Biznesu.
At present, the commodity market exchange runner is focusing on negotiating prices with the market participants, while analyzing the new model of cooperation with the market makers, according to Zawistowski. The necessity to adapt to the requirements of the EU's MIFID II directive should not pose a problem as by virtue of the new order, TGE is allowed to create its new statute in an arbitrary way, Zawistowski says.
