Savings on 500+
The Polish government will save some PLN 729 millionn annually on payments within the child subsidy program PLN 500+ thanks to some tightening efforts introduced in 2017, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily writes, citing estimates by the labor ministry.
PLN 270 million in savings will come thanks to eliminating cases where parents living with their partner would claim they are single parents to meet the income criteria and obtain the benefit for the first child.
The same amount is expected from limiting the possibility of reducing monthly wage to qualify for the benefit for the first child.
