Skanska on the Golden Terraces

ING Real Estate has chosen Skanska Polska Sp. z o.o. as general contractor for the Golden Terraces, a multi-purpose office-retail-service-and-entertainment center which will open in downtown Warsaw three years from now.

The companies have agreed on the terms of construction work, to begin later this year and last 37 months. The final agreement will be signed in mid-November.

The Golden Terraces, to be situated between Złota Street and the Warszawa Centralna train station, is Poland's largest investment project in the multi-purpose facility category and one of the largest facilities of this type currently under construction in Europe. The more than 200,000-square-meter project will include offices, shopping galleries and entertainment-and-recreation space. The courtyard, featuring a giant glass dome, will host events and meetings open to the general public in Warsaw.

The Golden Terraces project is being carried out by Złote Tarasy Sp. z o.o., established by ING Real Estate and Warsaw-Centrum borough. The owners of the facility will be Rodamco Europe B.V. and ING Real Estate Asset Management.
