PiS against president?
Polish president Andrzej Duda will seek to hold a national referendum on a new constitution for Poland on November 10-11, major newspapers report in connection with Duda's speech during national commemoration of proclaiming the country's first constitution back in the 18th century.
Ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) frowns upon the idea and Senate will most probably reject the presidential motion for a referendum during a vote, anonymous PiS politicians tell Rzeczpospolita.
