The Polish government is speeding up its negotiations with the European Commission over the contested judiciary reform as the country wants to be able to launch talks on the new EU budget framework for 2021-2027 with a clean sheet, Rzeczpospolita daily writes after foreign affairs minister Jacek Czaputowicz met with EC VP Frans Timmermans on Thursday. Poland hopes that the changes to the judiciary bills it has already submitted will be enough to meet Brussels demands.
