Retail sales up

Polish retail sales increased 5.9% year on year in March 2018 on a 0.8% monthly increase after a 7.9% annual rise in February, according to a release by EU stats office Eurostat.
Poland's own stats office GUS earlier reported an annual retail sales growth of 9.2% in March on a monthly increase of 17.8%.
In contrast to the Polish data, Eurostat data include stores with a headcount below ten employees and exclude automotive sales.
Eurostat annual growth figures are working-day adjusted, while the monthly growth figures are also seasonally adjusted.
