Earning votes of pension beneficiaries?
Ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) is considering options of supporting pension beneficiaries before the local elections scheduled for autumn this year, with most likely scenario assuming one-off bonuses ranging from PLN 100 to PLN 500 net, Gazeta Wyborcza daily writes citing own findings. Budget cost is expected at PLN 1-4 billion.
Options under consideration also include paying out the thirteenth pension or exempting pension beneficiaries from PIT but their cost for the budget would be high: the thirteenth salary would cost ca. PLN 15 billion annually, while PIT exemption ca. PLN 14 billion.
