Energy industries want support
Jadwiga Emilewicz
Poland's energy-intensive industries want support from the state as electricity prices soar.
The industry wants the government to support it with funds from selling CO2 emission allowances. Poland's electricity prices are already among the highest in the EU and the gap will likely widen if CO2 allowances prices go up.
The Business and Technology Ministry has already prepared proposals for supporting energy-intensive industries, minister Jadwiga Emilewicz assures.
