Bad times for debt funds

Polish debt funds suffered outflows in excess of PLN 538 million in June, with corporate debt funds bearing the brunt of customer retreat, the result of problems of some debt issuers and deteriorating market sentiment, head of investment consulting at Citi Handlowy Piotr Swiecik comments for the daily Parkiet.
Corporate debt is likely to face pressure on margins in H2'18, and corporate bond prices might be falling as funds will be forced to sell due to continued outflows, asset manager at BPS TFI Izabela Sajdak says.
