Supreme Court rules in Parliament

Poland's lower house (Sejm) will likely adopt the bill changing the rules of appointing Supreme Court judges this week and pass the matter on to the Senate next week as ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) wants to make the changes irrevocable as quickly as possible to prevent the EU Court of Justice from halting the Supreme Court reshuffle, daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna wrote.
So far 26 candidates have applied for judge positions in the Supreme Court.
