Senate votes for law amendments

Poland's major dailies focused on the heated debate surrounding changes to a set of the country's judiciary bills, including the Supreme Court law, as the Senate was voting July 25th night on the amendments crafted by the ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) to break the procedural impasse in appointing the new Supreme Court head.
Voting took place amid protests of the opposition and citizens objecting the changes, and resulted in the Senate's approval for all the proposed amendments.
