Over 11 billion for 500+
The Polish government spent PLN 11.3 billion under its flagship family support program "500 plus" in January-June 2018, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy said in a statement.
"Since the beginning of the year, over 2.45 million families received over PLN 11.3 billion," the ministry wrote.
Poland's child subsidy program "500 plus" was launched in April 2016. Under the scheme, families are paid PLN 500 per month for the second and each subsequent child, regardless of parents' earnings.
