Minister on changes in law
Jadwiga Emilewicz
Poland's Ministry of Business and Technology expects to present a draft bill on remedying payment bottlenecks in the autumn, the ministry's head Jadwiga Emilewicz told the daily Rzeczpospolita in an interview. The ministry is also working on a special tax solutions package for SMEs, which will seek to determine the obligations and rights of the so-called small tax payer, as well as introduce tax exemptions for firms that have failed to execute payment for products or services from a business partner, Emilewicz said.
The new bill on public procurement is also in the works as the consultations stage is nearing its end and the ministry expects to get down to writing the actual document soon, she added.
On the innovations front, Poland will likely launch a foundation dedicated to the industry of the future in 2019 to promote automation and robotic processes in SMES, Emilewicz said.
