Board member on chemical giant's plans

Hubert Kamola
Chemical group Ciech is talking to clients about soda price hikes in relation to strong demand for the product expected to grow further in 2019, management board member Hubert Kamola told daily Parkiet's TV arm. The company is adjusting its production capacity to make the fullest use of the favorable market situation while developing new soda products, he added.
Ciech will try to shift a part of its CO2 emission costs onto clients in the nearest future.
The company is also expanding operations in Asia, where it has shifted a fifth of its export output from Romania since the start of the year.
Chemical group currently plans no major investments but does not rule out acquisitions, Kamola added.
