GDP growth faster than planned

Teresa Czerwinska
Poland will easily beat the 3.8% GDP growth assumed for 2018 in the budget bill, but FY growth is unlikely to reach 5%, Finance Minister Teresa Czerwinska told daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. The 3.8% GDP growth budgeted for next year is a "cautious assumption," she said.
Poland will likely overshoot 2018 tax receipts by over PLN 10 billion, while spending will likely undershoot plans, resulting in a significant deficit undershoot, but not quite as wide as in 2017, Czerwinska added.
