Cable TV provider to take over peer

Cable TV provider Vectra is seeking consent of Poland's antimonopoly watchdog UOKiK to take over its sector peer Multimedia Polska, Vectra said in a press statement.
Vectra and the majority stakeholders in Multimedia Polska signed a term sheet concerning the potential sale of the entire stake in Multimedia Polska to Vectra, the statement read.
Concluding the final sales deal is pending approval from UOKiK, Vectra also said.
Back in March, Liberty Global, the owner of one of Poland's leading cable TV providers UPC Polska, abandoned its plans to take over Multimedia Polska.
