Builder with problems in Norway
Grzegorz Grabowski
Listed builder Torpol hopes to increase annual turnover to "visibly over PLN 1 billion" in the coming years and maintain the assumed profitability, with "measurable" effects likely to appear as soon as next year, in spite of the uncertain prospects for unit Torpol Norge on the Norwegian market, CEO Grzegorz Grabowski said as cited by the daily Parkiet.
Torpol should solve its problems in Norway this year, he added, pointing out to the possibility of leaving the market amid delays to the government railway infrastructure investment program.
For now, the company managed to considerably reduce overhead on the Norwegian market, CEO said.
On the home turf, Torpol managed to offset rising material and labor costs having taken preventive actions.
