Aggressive tax optimization
Pawel Gruza
The Polish government is pressing for its so-called 'exit tax' in a bid to make aggressive tax optimization involving transfer of property, including intangible assets, relatively unprofitable, outgoing deputy Finance minister Pawel Gruza told the daily Rzeczpospolita in an interview.
The bill implements the ATAD EU directive, Gruza reminded.
The government may tweak the property threshold for the tax, currently PLN 2 million, but is unlikely to delay its implementation or give up on taxing individuals, Gruza indicated.
