No natgas hub in near future
Poland is unlikely to build a natural gas hub any time soon, as such hub needs at least three independent strong suppliers and a diversified client base, while in Poland only PGNiG acts as a strong supplier, Parkiet daily wrote, citing energy sector representatives.
A hub would also need a higher number of international links, so Poland would have to build the Baltic pipe and a pipeline linking the Baltic with the Adriatic. Storage capacities would also have to be expanded.
A hub, if it is created at all, will appear no sooner than in mid-2020's, Azoty spokesperson Artur Dziekanski indicated.
