Investor for power plant needed
Ostroleka power plant
Listed power groups Energa and Enea might encounter problems trying to find an institutional investor for their joint 1000 MW project Ostroleka C as Poland's state development bank BGK opposes financing the coal block, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna wrote citing own information from two sources.
Commercial banks with state shareholding are also reluctant to get involved, and while they could possibly change their attitude under the influence of PM Mateusz Morawiecki, the latter is not a fan of the Ostroleka C project, a source close to the matter told the daily.
Enea will likely refuse to increase its own financial involvement in the project as Ostroleka will ultimately be operated by peer Energa, the newspaper said of own information.
