SGH reports on CIT policy
The Polish government needs to change its approach to CIT tightening, as tightening measures to date resulted in only slow narrowing of the CIT gap, a report by business college SGH showed.
While the government managed to recover CIT collection from recent lows, the share of CIT in GDP is and will likely remain below the 2.7% level recorded as recently as 2007, researchers claim.
Poland needs to shape its CIT system in such a way as to compete better with other CEE countries, as there CIT recovery has been much more prominent.
