Ozon to be fired?

Daniel Ozon
Listed coal and coking firm JSW could fire CEO Daniel Ozon September 13 following an audit conducted by the Ministry of Energy, insiders said. The audit reportedly showed discrepancies in cost accounting, but the company is sending its evidence and arguments to not only the Energy Ministry, but to the Prime Minister and Polish investigators.
Corporate insiders claimed that the audit and its conclusions are revenge by Minister of Energy Krzysztof Tchorzewski for a refusal by JSW to support a project by state-controlled power firms Energa and Enea to build a new power block at Energa's Ostroleka power plant as well as a cement plant elsewhere.
The Ministry apparently also wanted JSW to take a stake in builder Polimex-Mostostal off of the hands of state-controlled power firm PGE. The Solidarity labor union is standing up strong for Ozon, but showed signs of preparing for his departure, admitting openly that he has lost trust in Energy Ministry officials.
