Fuel giants' power plant damaged
Wloclawek power plant
Fuel group PKN Orlen carried out an emergency shutdown of its 463 MWe gas-fired heat and power plant in Wloclawek and expects the shutdown will continue until early December, the company said in a press statement.
Orlen is currently checking the scope of damages and of needed repairs, the press office said. A more precise outlook for the shutdown will be known once the damages and the agenda of repairs are prepared.
PKN Orlen completed construction of its power plant in Woclawek on a total CAPEX sum of PLN 1.4 billion mid-June 2017. Block's general contractor was a consortium of GE and SNC-Lavalin Polska.
