President Andrzej Duda reshuffled top Supreme Court judges with Stanislaw Zablocki and Jozef Iwulski losing their jobs, all dailies reported of the latest twist in the Poland's contested judicial reform.
The President had time until September 11 to decide which of the 12 judges aged over 65 would have the right to continue their work and decided to approve 5 of them.
The five judges secured positive reviews from the national judiciary council KRS, which has also undergone significant personnel changes recently. According to the presidential chancellery, judge Dariusz Zawistowski is now the first president of the supreme court.
