Ruling PO decided to drop its plans for constitution changes, as the coalition would have to seek support of opposition party PiS for any constitutional amendment.
Hence changes to powers of the president, planned by PO, will have to wait to the next term.
Additionally, now with PO's Bronislaw Komorowski holding the presidential office, PO lacks incentive to reduce threat of presidential veto, constitutional lawyer Piotr Winczorek commented.
