Janusz Piechocinski: It's time to admit we lack money for road construction
Poland's road & motorways construction program will have to be verified and some projects dropped, as there is a shortage of some 120 billion zlotys, MP Janusz Piechocinski, a member of parliamentary committee for infrastructure, says as quoted by Puls Biznesu daily.
Piechociński is writing a report on implementation of the road & motorways construction program.
The program was prepared by the previous government and adopted by the present one with minor corrections; it's time to admit we lack money to implement it, the MP said.
According to him, the projects that may be dropped or delayed include Warsaw's eastern ring road, expressway S7 from the city of Gdansk to southern Poland, motorway A4's section through the city of Tarnow to Ukraine's border, and the central section of motorway A1.
Piechocinski's report is to be ready in September.
