Austrian bank Raiffeisen International in interested in acquisitions in Poland and other markets, where it is possible to take over a significant market share, CEO Herbert Stepic told the German weekly "Wirtschafts Woche", as cited by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

Raiffeisen could be one of potential market consolidators as it has good competencies, knows the market and has been present in corporate banking and private banking for many years, Ipopema Securities analyst Tomasz Bursa commented for the daily.
