Parliamentary speaker Grzegorz Schetyna who met yesterday with Poland’s attorney general Andrzej Seremet to discuss policy concerning the release of the Smolensk investigation results said the progress in the prosecution’s work needs to be made public.
“I aim for regular meetings and regular reports so that there is no ambiguity concerning the investigation, and I want the public systematically informed of the progress,” Schetyna said.
Next week Seremet is to meet with the Parliamentary Committee for Justice and Human Rights to present a report on the investigation into the April 10 presidential plane crash near Smolensk, Russia, which killed all 96 passengers including President Lech Kaczynski.
Poland wants to receive further documentation of the investigation. The Russian side promised to provide an additional ten volumes next month.
