World-famous violin virtuoso Krzysztof Jakowicz, accompanied by the Kameleon Septet, will be playing Hadrian Filip Tabęcki's new arrangements of the silver screen's most beautiful romantic compositions at The Studio Buffo Theater on Oct 20.
Kameleon specializes in music for film and theater and has featured in many Polish films.
The program of the show called “Miłośnie i filmowo” (Love and Movies) includes masterpieces from such classics as Casablanca and The Godfather, songs composed especially for movies, including “Love Story” and “Yellow Submarine,” and songs which gained a new life in the cinema, including “Libertango” in Frantic, “The Entertainer” in The Sting, and "What a Wonderful World" from Good Morning Vietnam.
The Kameleon Septet comprises Mariusz Jeka on clarinet, alto saxophone and bass clarinet, Radosław Kiszewski on trumpet, Bartłomiej Krauz on accordion, keyboards and vocals, Piotr Maślanka on percussion, Paweł Stankiewicz on banjo and acoustic and electric guitars, Maciej Szczyciński on double bass, bass guitar and oud, and Hadrian Filip Tabęcki on piano and Hammond and Wurlitzer organs.
