Info

The World of Great Football exhibition at the National Stadium in Warsaw brings together 1,000 items of soccer memorabilia from around the world. Along with soccer shoes, cups, archival photographs and posters documenting the history of the game around the world, visitors can also see jerseys worn by Polish soccer legends Kazimierz Deyna and Zbigniew Boniek.

Also on display is the “lucky” coat of former Polish national team coach Jerzy Engel, which is said to have helped the Polish team make it through to the finals of the World Cup in Korea and Japan in 2002. The items on display come from an collection owned by sports journalist Stefan Szczepłek and a memorabilia collection owned by the Polish Football Association (PZPN).

In the kids’ section, young fans can see an exhibition of popular trading cards with pictures of celebrity soccer players, enjoy video games and play foosball.

Until January 2014; Open Tue.-Sun. 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

National Stadium; 1 Ks. Józefa Poniatowskiego Ave.
