Info

Bezimienne Dzieło (The Anonymous Work: Four Acts of a Rather Nasty Nightmare) by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz (known as Witkacy), a 20th century Polish poet, playwright, novelist, painter, photographer and philosopher is shown at Warsaw’s Narodowy Theater.

Written in 1921(but not published until 1962) The Anonymous Work is a “philosphical criminal” about art and revolution, attempting to track down the real culprits in both activities and discover their methods of committing the crime.

The Anonymous Work has an exciting story line full of suspense and mystery that can eventually be unraveled.

Directed by Jan Englert the catastrophic play becomes a story of crisis, indifference of elites and outbreak of social radicalism.
Confrontation of different attitudes leads to self-destruction of society and collapse of humanity.

The cast includes prominent Polish actors Włodzimierz Press, Marcin Hycnar, Patrycja Soliman, Dominika Kluźniak, Grzegorz Małecki, Jerzy Radziwiłowicz and Tomasz Sapryk.

Next performances: March 3, 5,6,7 at 7 pm
