Pegasus’ Saddle - new musical show at Narodowy Theater date: Wednesday, 19 June 2013 End date: Sunday, 23 June 2013 at: 19:00 category: spectacle Place: National Theatre organizer: Info „Siodło Pegaza” (Pegasus’ Saddle) is a new musical show in the repertoire of the Narodowy Theater in Warsaw inspired by the music of a late contemporary composer Jerzy Wasowski and directed by an actress Ewa Konstancja Bułhak. Wasowski, whose 100th birthday falls in May, is known mainly as a co-author of a legendary Kabaret Starszych Panów (Cabaret of Eldrely Gentlemen) – an extremely popular TV show. Wasowski created the program together with a poet Jeremi Przybora and wrote dozens of songs for it. Wasowski was less known for his musicals, symphonic stories for children and music for theater performances and radio programs. His songs were sung by the most outstanding Polish artists: Hanna Banaszak, Danuta Rinn, Irena Santor and Wojciech Młynarski. Bułhak has picked up these less known compositions for Pegasus’ Saddle. Lyrics are based on the Cabaret of Elderly Gentlemen scripts. Music has been arranged by Jakub Lubowicz. Stage and costumes have been designed by Jan Kozikowski. The show features : Ewa Konstancja Bułhak (Lucy), Marcin Przybylski (Torrero), Paweł Paprocki (Tolo) and a music band Kwartet Lubowicza: Dawid Lubowicz - violin, Jakub Lubowicz - piano, Fryderyk Młynarski- drums i Marcin Murawski- double bass.
